If you've
read the book "With Winning in Mind", own his tapes and a couple
of videos you probably know Lanny Bassham pretty well. You know he's a
professional speaker, author, mental coach, Olympic Gold Medalist, husband
and father of 3. The one thing you might not know is Lanny was in a rock
band in college and came very close to signing a record deal with Capitol
Records. However, he was unable to sign because he had already signed
a contract with the military. The singer, songwriter, guitar player gave
up one dream of pursuing a music career to chase his dream of Olympic
Gold . He never lost his desire to play guitar or write music. Recently
he wrote and co-wrote several songs on his daughter Heather Bassham's
album "One".
